The Hemingway comes housed with the Miyota 821 self-winding movement. A true workhorse movement that features a date complication, hacking (stop-seconds) and a 45-hour power reserve.
Made out of Japan, Miyota has been producing watch movements for over one century. The 821A is often seen as the Japanese equivalent of the Swiss ETA 2824-2. It is made with 21 synthetic rubies that protect the delicate components and ensures a long lifetime.
The Miyota 821 also offers excellent shock-resistance with their proprietary method called Parashock. This method was first tested in 1956 and has been refined ever since.
The case is completely custom-made and moulded in three parts from 316L stainless steel. With a 40mm width, it will fit most wrists seamlessly. The case comes with a polished finish for a fine and elegant appearance. The caseback has a corrosion engraving of Ernest Hemingway. The first 300 pieces are individually numbered XXX/300.
*This caseback is strictly limited to the first 300 pieces.
